Bolt Action M8/M20 Greyhound Scout Car (Plastic Box)

Originally designed to replace the US military's portee gun in an anti-tank role, the M8 Greyhound was swiftly repurposed when its effectiveness against German armor proved limited. It became a highly regarded armored car that served both American and British forces effectively throughout the war.

Crewed by four personnel, it mounted a 37mm gun and a co-axial .30 caliber machine gun, with more aggressive crews often adding a .50 caliber on the roof for anti-aircraft and local defense purposes.

Renowned for its speed—earning it the British nickname "Greyhound"—capable of reaching 55 mph on good roads, though prone to bogging down in muddy terrain. Its armor provided protection against small arms fire, and it was most effective when operated in pairs, scouting enemy positions, supporting each other in an advancing leapfrog manner, or covering retreats.

In contrast, the M20 scout car replaced the M8's armored turret with a fixed, open fighting compartment. Primarily used as a command vehicle, it sacrificed the main gun in favor of enhanced radio capabilities and carried a portable Bazooka to bolster its anti-armor firepower.
